Hello. In my case, I need to add the ability to upload to excel from pivot tables. As far as I understand, this is a possible corrective version of the "PivotTableViewConfig" module, but as far as I know, modules cannot be loaded into their own package.

I want to further ask on this. In freedom UI, Nor form edit pages neither list pages edit pages, there is no 'list' type component. Components in these edit pages are:

spline, bar, line, doughnut, area, column, scatter --> ( those are 'chart' types),

Pipeline

Metric

Gauge.

There is NO 'LIST' type component in new UI page/form/list edit Pages. 

Again, how can We 'create' list type dashboard element in new UI? And beside system being in new UI or old UI, How can we export pivot table?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but pivot tables are not currently available in Freedom UI.  You can use pivot tables only in the Classic UI, but unfortunately, there is no way to export them yet.

 

To answer your second question, to create a list element in the dashboard of the Freedom design, you can use a regular list element:

Hi Community,

 

I have to use Excel Export Creatio Functionality but instead of downloading the .xlsx file in the system, I have to attach that .xlsx file to the Attachments of a Custom Section.

This task should be performed by the business process after giving filtration criteria as input.

 

Please suggest me a solution to achieve the above task.

Unfortunately requested functionality is not presented as OOB solution in Creatio at this moment. 

We will register this as an idea for the responsible R&D team to extend the basic functionality in future Creatio releases.

For some technical issues, I had to reinstall database. so I exported the package "Custom" to be able to import it via application install. while trying to import it, it fails to restore configuration from backup.

How can I retrieve configuration done on this custom package? is there any best practice to export packages?

You can export the package from the Configuration section:

 

But we recommend installing the package in the Installed application section. So you will be able to download the application log to check the errors.

Thank you for the reply. in fact this is what I have done and then I tried to import the package from the installed application section. bellow is the screen of import failure.

Did you ever find a solution?

The package "Custom" cannot be exported between environments. A solution would be to add a new package and add the same dependencies as in the package "Custom" and move files from Custom to the new created package. then you can export that package between environments.

We needed to do exports and noticed that the dates are coming out as decimals. 

I created an excel report template, went to different leads folders and when downloaded a report, the dates are all decimals. Even with different reports they still export as decimals. 

Therefore is either a problem with the excel report plugin or in the creatio system both I can't modify. 

Please check this out when you can. I think this is a new problem I don't remember having this issue before.

i have installed some of free applications and add-ons from marketplace and also i have customized in them and added some chart and new dashboards , i need to export the package with all installed applications, add-ons and the customized sections that i made.

note that 

1- i am working on the custom package 

how can i do this with steps please ?

The marketplace applications are being installed as separate packages, once the application is installed through the "Installed applications" section or directly from Marketplace, the corresponding package with this functionality is being displayed in "Configuration" section. By a default, the newly installed package is locked and no changes can be done to it directly. 

 

All the customizations done to a system with basic system tools (such as through the Section wizard) are being saved to the package that set as a Default value in the "Current package" system setting, by a default - it's Custom package. 



In case you need to transfer your customizations from one instance to another, I would suggest to double-check whether both sites have the same product and version first. Then you can install all the needed marketplace applications to the second instance from the Marketplace directly. Or simply transfer the needed packages one by one from the first instance. Once all the applications are successfully installed to the second instances, you can transfer a package with your customizations as well.



Also, you can create a backup of the instance before transferring your customizations to it, so in case of unsuccessful package installation, you will be able to restore the instance from the backup. 

As well, you can create a request for us (support team) to install the provided package to your cloud instance.

 

You can find more detailed information about custom and base packages, it's dependencies and hierarchy, the way the package can be exported and imported on our Academy.

I must move the marketing campaigns from one package to another. The versions of my customer's CRM is the 7.17.0 and they don't have this "move to another package" option, released after the 7.17.0 update. 

 

I tried to "Export" the element and then reimport it in the apposite package but it doesn't work because it imports it in the same package even if I select the new package and I change the current package in the system settings.

 

How can I achieve this without doing the update to the newest release ? I can't do it right now for a customer's point of view but I need to export some marketing campaigns from the current package to the custom package.

 

I'm almost sure that there is a command from the clio console but how can I find which element is the marketing campaign I want to move in my packages. Should I move only one element or are there other elements directly related to this marketing campaign ? Could you help me to try to find this out ?

As for now, there is no such OOTB functionality that will allow transferring marketing campaigns from one instance to another fully due to the way campaign elements are connected. You can try to bind them to the package but we cannot guarantee that campaign will work after transfer so we do not recommend doing it.

 

This is happening due to the fact that each system generates its own ID values for communication between campaign elements. So during migration to a new system, due to the uniqueness of these links for each campaign, conflicts arise due to which the campaign functionality can start working not properly after the migration (like in cases when the campaign contains additional elements).  On another hand, after transferring the campaign schema, you can perform correct data binding using SQL scripts. However, this is very detailed work, so the best option would be to re-create the campaign scheme in a new environment.

 

Our R&D team responsible for this functionality is already working on implementing this functionality in future releases. I will forward your case to the team in order to increase the importance of this functionality.

In my application, I installed a new Plug-In ( https://marketplace.creatio.com/app/excel-reports-builder-creatio). 

 

The problem is, when I select the file that I want to download, it does not work at first, I need to click twice in order to be able to download it.

 

Do you have any idead why is this happening?

I had no issues with generating a report in Studio Creatio, Enterprise Edition, version 7.17.2.

 

Please send us more information to help us reproduce this issue. What we need the most are the name of your Creatio product and its version. Moreover, do you use *.xlsx file templates in your reports? Can you see any error messages in the console after clicking to generate a report?

Hi. In order to protect the production instance,  I understand that changes and development should be carried out on a separate instance (a trial instance, for example) and then exported to the production instance. I have tried the "Install application" panel, but I have seen that imported packages cannot be changed, so it will not work...

What is the appropriate environment/procedure for that ?

Please review this article https://academy.creatio.com/documents/technic-sdk/7-16/development-rules since it describes a complete development process with carrying changes from dev to prod. It is also a good idea to backup the production application database during maintenance hours for your prod so to be able to restore it from backup in case some data was lost accidentally.

Creatio CRM has the feature of exporting data by filtering some records. Then we can export the data using the export to excel option.

However, for customers(end user) it may be confusing to apply multiple filters.

 

In this case lets suppose I only want to apply filter to only 2 fields.

So I want to create a process which will ask user to input values for those 2 filters. After that process will automatically generate a excel file which have all the records filtered according to the 2 filters input values.

 

Is this possible to do so?

I tried to create process but how to export data I can not figure out.

It is better to use a standard scenario of specifying the filter and exporting records using the "Export to excel" action in the section. If you could create a script-task that could trigger the "ReportService" service and "GetExportToExcelKey" method inside this service based on the filtering parameters than this process could be executed. But we have no examples of this logic implementations so you need to look through the "GetExportToExcelKey" method and test it on your side.

I have very less development experience on Creatio Platform so I can't think I can develop scripts right now.

 

Rather I came up with another solution - Dynamic folder with access rights. So user will have access to the dynamic folder where they can filter record according to two fields. But I am unsure if giving them edit access may result in modifying the filter parameters. 

 

For example I want to find all the records that were created in between a period - I can create a dynamic folder with two fields -

(Created on > date_1 and Created on <date_2)

 

But having access to edit dynamic folder, the customer can also modify Created on parameter to modified on.

They cannot modify the Created On value of the record (since we are discussing the Created On column for records not for the folder itself (by the way they cannot modify Created On for folders as well)).

 

Yes, the client can modify the parameter itself (replace Created On with Modified On), but the client needs to understand that he/she shouldn't do it. By the way the client can create such a filter on their own (the possibility of advanced filters was developed for such proposes). Why there should be a process that should do this? It is easier to do it manually than via a process.

 

Also you can remove edit access rights for all users in the system using the "Change access rights" process element. As a result the client will see the folder, but won't be able to modify it.
