Business process task created by Open Edit Page not closing when Progress bar set to save record on stage change
Hello,
I have a business process that opens an existing record. The Open Edit Page is set to mark the element as completed when the record is saved and the progress bar is set to save the record on stage change.
But the business process task is not removed from the list after the stage changes, and the record is saved. The only way to remove the task from the list is to click the Save button on the page.
Is there a way to mark the business process task as completed when that happens? Or even better not to create a business task at all when using the Open Edit Page?
Thanks,
Jose

Hi Jose,
Quick question to clarify: are you working with a Business Process (Process Designer) or Dynamic Case Management (DCM)?
Thanks, Tomasz
Tomasz Szpunar,
Hi Tomasz,
The business process opens the page using the Open Edit element. The page has a DCM element on it. What I need is for the business process task that is created when the page is open to be marked as Completed when I click on a DCM step that saves and closes the page.
Thanks,
Jose
Hello,
Unfortunately, this functionality is not currently supported with out-of-the-box tools. The business process relies on manual record saving, whereas changing the stage triggers an automatic save, which doesn't meet the process requirements.
That said, we’ve created a ticket with our R&D team to consider this as a potential feature in future releases. We've also linked this community case to the ticket to help increase its priority.
