I also tested with a filter on the Name of the Account.

When I search for an account name that does not exist, I get a (empty) response:

I have tried each field seperately, for example:

For 4 fields, I got an error:

1. Description 

- Error: The query specified in the URI is not valid. Could not find a property named 'Description' on type 'Terrasoft.Configuration.OData.Account'.

--> In the object, I cannot find this field, but it looks like a system field?

2. UsrMZAabonnementId 

- Error: The query specified in the URI is not valid. Could not find a property named 'UsrMZAabonnementId' on type 'Terrasoft.Configuration.OData.Account'.

--> In the object, I cannot find this field. Probably deleted by the user?

--> Have now added the field UsrMZAabonnementId, so this error is solved.

3. UsrkenmerkGGZ_ZPM 

- Error: An error has occurred.

--> This field exists. Are underscore characters not allowed?

4. Logo 

- Error: An error has occurred.

--> This is a system field and should not be an issue?

 

For the general query, the error is also 'An error has occurred.'

I have a visual studio C# project binded to OdataV3 endpoint ("/0/ServiceModel/EntityDataService.svc/") and I don't find the custom entities created by me.

 

Using the following URL: "http://localhost/0/odata/$metadata" (ODataV4) I can see the expected entities.

 

The problem is that if I try to generate ODataV4 client code using "Unchase OData Connected Service" add-On it returns this error when I use ODataV4 endpoint.

 

While if I use ODataV3 endpoint with "Unchase OData Connected Service" add-On everything runs fine but the custom entities are missing (first picture). Furthermore if I use ODataV3 in a simple package every custom entity endpoint is available.

 

Did I make myself clear?

Yes, it's clear now, thank you!

 

The problem is that OData3 forms its metadata based on the default assembly and doesn't include separate assemblies (where your objects are located), while OData4 uses a separate special assembly (neither default nor the custom one). And that's why its impossible to get access objects in packages compiled in the separate assembly using OData 3.

 

Our core R&D team will review this logic in the future releases, meanwhile the only way to access the object is using OData 4 only.

The only way to achieve your business task is to create a separate user that will be used in OData requests authentication, set the timezone for this user as UTC, make this user a system administrator and execute OData requests under this user.

It's impossible since (if talking about products as an example) the localizable values for product names are stored in the SysProductLcz table and OData has no access to it. Additionally we have a correspondent problem registered for our R&D team and it's planned to add such a possibility to work with localization in OData requests.

Thank you! This message is usually returned in case you are not authenticated. Did you use UserName and UserPassword as a ClientId and ClientSecret and used Basic Auth? And also are you passing a form-data grant_type key in the headers and also using the identity service URL as an endpoint to send request?

Hello Oscar the application is hosted locally (On premise). Also updating other detail column in the same script is working fine. I suspect a database error and plan to do a Generate all-compile all-webApp restart tonight.

This is the know issue of the version. 

Our R&D team is working on this to be fixed in the future releases. 

There's a workaround to this issue. To implement it please create following request to support team (since your instance is cloud) :

1) set "false" to following keys in  Terrasoft.WebApp\web.config 

<add key="Feature-UseSeparatedOdataEntitiesDll" value="false" />

<add key="Feature-ODataEntitiesCompilationInSeparatedDll" value="false" />

if such keys don't exist, they can be added to  the block <appSettings>;

2) Generate source code for all schemas and compile all. 





Please note, that this fix is only applicable for 7.18.1. Please remove this tags from web.config when updating to newer versions of the application, as it will cause the Odata functionality to not work.

Hmm. I just tested that and I get the same error (also if I try to expand Entity). I wonder if it's because those are columns inherited from the BaseEntityInTag object (which is virtual)? I can expand CreatedBy fine on that object though. Not sure why the error occurs.

For now you should use two select queries, because using the $expand clause with those columns would give you errors. We passed this problem to Core R&D team and got the information that there is some issue in Core logic that causes that thing, so they would fix it in the next versions.

OData cannot perform such an operation in one action if calling /0/odata/Account endpoint. You can retrieve data from related entities (that are specified in lookup columns), but not from details. Or you need to perform OData request to AccountAddress collection and retrieve data on the related accounts there in the following manner:
