Hello,

as we use non-standard font for our report, it should be embedded into result pdf-file. FastReport has this option during export to PDF. But how can we achieve the same from Creatio?

Hi Vladimir!

Fonts should be installed on the IIS side and the template also needs to be set up correctly to make them available.

The following instructions can help you to achieve the result you are looking for:

Pavlo Sokil,

Thank you, Pavlo!

We have installed fonts on our Dev IIS server and it works.

But when customer has done the same, on their Test server it works, but on Production - not.

Can you give any idea what can be checked more?

Thank you!

Vladimir

Hi Vladimir.

There are several possible reasons why a custom font added to IIS for Fast Reports may work for one site but not for another, even with the same settings. Here are a few possible reasons:

  1. Different versions of IIS: If the two sites you are configuring the custom font for are running on different versions of IIS, this can cause compatibility issues. Therefore, depending on which version of IIS your sites are running on, you should use the corresponding version of the custom font.

  2. Different IIS settings: Another possible issue is different IIS settings on different sites. For example, if one site is working with custom fonts over HTTP, and another is over HTTPS, this can affect how the fonts are displayed on the site.

  3. Different font locations: It's possible that the fonts are not located in the same place on two different servers, and this can cause issues with loading the fonts on one of the sites.

  4. Caching: If the font is added to one site, and then you add it to another, the browser may have a cached copy of the old version of the font. This can cause the font to not change when you switch to the other site.

  5. If this is a self-hosted font, it may be necessary to modify the hosting settings of the font to allow access from other domains (perhaps by adding the instance address of Creatio to the Allowed domains list).

To address these issues, make sure you are using the correct version of the font, check if the settings are the same on both servers, make sure the fonts are located in the same place, and clear the browser cache.

Hi All,

I'm trying to add a new font to the text editor but without any success.

I'm looking at System Settings CKEditor font list (and eventually at CKEditor default font).

I tried adding Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; to the system setting however it does not show in the list of fonts.

Am I missing anything?

Full value for CKEditor Font List: Arial/Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;Comic Sans MS/Comic Sans MS, cursive;Courier New/Courier New, Courier, monospace;Georgia/Georgia, serif;Lucida Sans Unicode/Lucida Sans Unicode, Lucida Grande, sans-serif;Tahoma/Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif;Times New Roman/Times New Roman, Times, serif;Trebuchet MS/Trebuchet MS, Helvetica, sans-serif;Verdana/Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

Thanks,

Tiago

Hello Tiago,

There will be two ways to use the created template for regular (not bulk) email sending:

1) from the "Actions dashboard" of some section (in this case the template will be available under the actions dashboard for the section that is specified as a macro source in the template settings and this template won't be available in the CTI panel). In this case we can select another font and type text using another font:

and then select the "Default" font from the list:

and continue using the default font for this template (that is my custom Tangerine font that I used during the template creation).

2) from the CTI panel and the behavior here is the similar to the behavior of the editor in actions dashboard.

Please also note that once you select the default font the "Open Sans" font will be displayed. This is a bug that our R&D team is aware of and I will also ask them to review this bug so they could fix it in one of nearest releases. I will also ask them to create some logic that allows using custom fonts in the email editor from the actions dashboard and in the CTI panel.

You can also select all the text in the editor bedore sending an email and choosing the default font for the text so to prevent situations of two different fonts in the email text appearing.

Best regards,

Oscar

Hello Tiago,

There is no way to add a custom font to the list of fonts that appear when creating an email from the CTI panel. However you can add a custom font to the list of fonts in the content designer (this functionality was implemented in the 7.16.0 version). Please review this article where the whole process of adding a custom font is described and you will be able to use custom fonts in the content designer.

Best regards,

Oscar

Hi Oscar,

Thanks for the reply,

I've followed the article and the font is available for selection in the content designer.

However, if the user wants to make changes to the selected email template there's the risk of the email being sent with two different fonts.  Would there be any way of preventing this?

It would be useful to have the two list in sync.

Thanks,

Tiago

I'm changing the default font on one of our customers environment.

But I don't get the result i expected. Perhaps I have entered wrong system setting value.

I'm looking at System Settings CKEditor default font and CKEditor font list as described here (Release Notes 7.13)

I set the CKEditor default font value to "Times New Roman". It changes the contet of drop-down, but not the font of my text in e-mail menu.

Setting:

Result:

What should my systems setting value be to have Times New Roman working as default?

Value of System setting CKEditor font list is standard:

Arial/Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;Comic Sans MS/Comic Sans MS, cursive;Courier New/Courier New, Courier, monospace;Georgia/Georgia, serif;Lucida Sans Unicode/Lucida Sans Unicode, Lucida Grande, sans-serif;Tahoma/Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif;Times New Roman/Times New Roman, Times, serif;Trebuchet MS/Trebuchet MS, Helvetica, sans-serif;Verdana/Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif

Dear Julius,

There is indeed issue with the CKeditor and the system setting in the current application version. However the problem has been already resolved and the functionality will be working correctly starting from nearest version 7.15.3

Best regards,

Dean
