Question

Primary display column is not specified for workspace item

Added a lookup as field in a new lookup.

While opening that lookup to select the value, the below error is coming.

How to set up Primary display column?

Dear Akshaya,

Hope you're doing well.

From your description and the screenshot kindly provided we can suggest performing next steps:

  • it seems you the issue is related to the fact that you don't have a primary display column specified for the [Your_Object_Hidden_On_The_Screeshot] object. In this case, you need to change that parameter in the advanced object settings: for that please click on the object name, then on the settings ( 1 on the screenshot) --> select all  --> indicate the display value column, as on the screenshot --> publish the object:

old configurations design:

new configurations desing:

  • the following error code: NullOrEmptyException suggests that the compilation process was not completed properly or completed with errors. Please perform the compilation process of all elements in the Configuration. Additionally before the compilation you can generate the source code.

Best regards,

Roman
