New freedom UI Shell 8.0.6

I've been able to turn it on/off with success. Since it's a per-user setting, I assume you're turning it off as the user you're logged in as? Second, since it's cached, have you logged out and back in again?

Try unchecking "save values for current user", logout, delete from the URL all after 0/ included 0/

in your instance URL, it is like "

https://XXXX-demo.creatio.com/0/shell/?autoOpenIdLogin=true#Desktop", just delete all after 0/shell including it

remember to clear cache and reload after change the System Setting also
