Question

IntExcelExport does not produce excel with macro

Hello,

We are trying to export an excel file with macro in it.

After installing IntExcelExport we manage to extract the date we need in an excel file.

We wanted to do the same with an excel template containing a macro.

We could not do that, the upload to Creatio of the sample file does not produce an error but it generate a corrupt file.

it is very easy to reproduce the issue:
1-You need to install the add-on  IntExcelExport.
2-Create a new Custom extraction.
3-Inport an excel template with macro in it (Microsoft Excel Macro-Enabled Worksheet (.xlsm) or Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Worksheet (.xls)).
4-Try to generate any king of report (the generated file will be corrupted and will not open)

Could you help us please to manage to generate a excel file with macro in it.

Should we use another product?

Thanks.

Best Regards.

Hello Yassine,

I use macros in Excel templates with IntExcelExport often, in almost every template and never have an issue with the produced excel export being corrupt. However, I don't save the files as xlsm or xls files. Just xlsx files with the data removed. If you try adding the template as just an xlsx file does it work for you?

Ryan Farley,

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your response.

I am using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 and it will not let me to save xlsx with macro in it as it will only save it as xlsm.

Do you know a way to save xlsx with a macro in it  ?

The only workaround that i can found is to use two file, one template xlsx that will pinpoint to a macro from another file. so when extracted from creatio it can execute it.

Best Regards.
