Auto Populate A Field - Query from 2 tables

Hi Community,

We are trying to auto populate a lookup field whose value must be fetched by joining two tables. This we are trying to achieve using async validate but we are unsure as to how to join 2 tables using client side esq. Is there a way to join 2 tables? If not how do we implement callback and chains?
