Make excel reports builder an OOTB feature with scheduling

Rather than having this highly use an unsupported devlabs capability (https://marketplace.creatio.com/app/excel-reports-builder-creatio) , wouldn't be more in line with Creatio becoming entreprise grade tool to make this an OOTB feature of Creatio with support, and add in the ability to schedule report exports to be sent at specific people.

What does the community think ?

Hello,

We have forwarded your idea to our R&D team for consideration and approval. Thank you for helping us to improve our product.

One of the ways you can do an automatic export of a report to a specific person is not to download the report, but to email it to them. You can create a process that will run on a timer and email the report to the people you need. Here's a community article on how to do this:

1000 times yes. This really should be an OOTB feature. However, I'm fine with installing it as a marketplace add-on, even unsupported. The part that is absolutely necessary for this is to be able to use it with the Process File task in a process.

Hi,

Does this marketplace app works with Freedom UI applications?

Malika,

Does the solution you link to also work with Excel reports generated by the addon or only word reports ?

I could be mistaken, is the" ConvertToPdf" still functioning, I thought this disappaered last year, or maybe it's for another type of usecase ?

Also, advanced analytics & advanced reports are not a nice to have, but a must have for enterprise grade tools. Being a NOCODE application, is there a nocode way of doing this 🤔? (I see a lot of scripting here vs how it is often achieved in a no code way for a couple years now in other CRM tools ... 😭😭)

Hi Damien, have you seen or heard anything on the roadmap regarding these features?

You are so right that an unsupported and un-user friendly excel app is acceptable for what is supposed to be an enterprise application!

Creatio is making great progress but seems to have just forgotten this integral part!

Harry,

Nope have not seen anything about it in the roadmap for this year 2024 (last updated mi-december). But I have noticed that the roadmap does not encompass all the changes implemented by Creatio, there has been some positive suprise new functionalities 🙂,  so you never know...

Good luck with this request. A higher up at Creatio said they don't want to make the platform a data warehouse. I know, because this was the response at a conference when I was asked what feature I want if I could have it from Creatio. Instead, I was directed to use PowerBI, another tool that costs additional money, time, and effort. So much for OOTB reporting functionality that was promised over 5 years ago.

Carl Moore,

this is very disappointing, any other CRM in the competitor stack have more advanced (but especially more useful) analytics capabalities which are more in line with how business work today.

I hope they change their mind in understanding that our clients' management teams need more capabilities into not only data analysis but also analysis sharing and often enquire on new capabilities....
