I want to attach a pdf to an email template. I tried an add on from the market place but it is not helping as it is the same as adding an attachment to a record. How do I do it?

Dear Prachi,

You don't need any Marketplace to this task. In a process Email task you can add attachments, see the image

Julio.Falcon_Nodos,

This is not a process. I want it to attach it to a template.

Prachi Bhelkar,

No, an email template is a ‘template’ you cannot attach files to templates.

When you need to instantiate, at runtime, a template to be ‘populated’ with the data from the registry that the mail connects to, in a process or DCM, you can attach a file.

I want to send email from Activities which is a standard function in creatio and I am not able to. It keeps showing a dialogue box and asks for start value which is not even present on the email tab and is required but it is already filled in. How do I resolve this issue and send an email from Activities?

Hello,

By default, the "StartDate" (Start) field should be populated with the default value (the current date). Please check if this default value is not being overridden in your packages.

Additionally, consider checking if the issue might be related to another field with the same name.

It’s also possible that you lack permissions for the column value, etc.

I recommend investigating the error in more detail within the Insert request in the network to see what parameters are being passed into the fields.

I hope this helps!

Thank you! I will try that.

Hi,

The Tenant ID value should be taken from the "Directory (tenant) ID" in Azure.

The Tenant ID parameter needs to be filled in only if the user uses the Office 365 (Graph API) service type. When switching to the Graph API, the user will gain the ability to automatically create Teams meetings.

This is not a mandatory field if you are using Exchange and Office 365 (EWS) and not using Office 365 (Graph API).

You can leave it blank.

Hoping someone can assist any way they have found to help when using O365 with Creatio email. When we send a bulk email from our generic sales@ email(which most audience members are used to) we receive a few hundred OOO or 'so and so no longer works here' responses. What are people doing to filter those to a different folder in their distribution lists so members don't get all those emails?

Hello,

Such functionality is not the part of the Creatio setup. You can configure the rules in your mailbox on the email provider side to move or delete such letters from the inbox automatically each time you receive one.

Hi,

I'm trying to implement a simple Business Process to send an automatic Welcome\Onboarding email, when a new contact is created.

At this moment, the email has not been sent, and I have an error in the Process Log.

Has anyone faced this problem?

Follows the error:

In this case, I recommend checking the system settings and mail operation, which is filled in the system settings. For example, if you transferred a system setting from another environment, its value may contain mail with an incorrect id or be empty.

Hello,

This error in the business process can occur for the following reasons:

1. The mail indicated in the "To" field is not correctly configured on the environment and does not work

2. If the mail is not specified directly from the window and is filled in when reading the data in other elements, it is possible that this field remains empty and you receive the corresponding error

3. The user whose mail is read does not have registered mailboxes, or the user who starts the process does not have access rights to this mailbox (accordingly, the element returns an empty Id)

In general, this problem consists of incorrect filling of the "To" field, so we recommend reviewing the logic of your process and making sure that the field is filled correctly.

Thank's for your reply.

At the moment, the Business Process is very simple. It just have two elements, the initial Signal and the Send email.

Follows the pictures with the actual configs, that i think it should be all correct.

Hi Halyna,

I checked the System Setting and it was missing the email address on the default field.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Community,

We have this requirement, where we need to have multiple signatures per outbound email. And selected them based on the case category lookup.

So for example:

Case 1 > Category A > Signature A

Case 2 > Category B > Signature B

But for the same outbound email.

https://academy.creatio.com/docs/8.x/no-code-customization/base-integrations/mailbox-setup/email-account-individual-settings#title-1953-3

We would like to know what is the best way to achieve such functionality? What schemas should we change?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Pedro Pinheiro

Hello,

Please note that there's no functionality to set up such logic in the system at the moment. However, we have registered this idea for our R&D team and they will review the possibility of adding it in future releases.

As a workaround, you could remove the personal signatures of the users and instead create the email templates and design the needed signature as part of the template itself. You can also set up automatic filling in of the sender's name with the help of a macro.

Hi!

I know that the emails sent via Creatio are in the Activity table, but how about the the emails sent by a business process? Can I find those emails somewhere?

Thank you,

Hello,

To be able to see these emails, you need to enable logging in the advanced settings in the Email Sending process element.
After that, you can find the emails in the Activity table or set up a dashboard to view them.

Hello Creatio Community,

I'm creating a script task for email sender using a documentation from creatio team. I followed the provided instructions for creating the script task, but when I published  the script task some errors occured.

Some of the classes and interface cannot be found also the IntegrationApi library cannot be found.

Hello Alba,
Thanks for your question.

I am glad to assist you however it is hard to understand what causes the error without error messages. Could you please enable tracing for you business process and share the error message?

This code works fine for me:

Hope this helps

Alba,

I had the same issue following the same article.

Then I decided to do differently. No code is needed :

By using the element process file you can generate the printable then using the file in the process allows you to add the file generated in the email as attachment, you don't need to store the file in an activity record.

Tell me if you need more details.

Hi all,

Our need is the possibility link manually an incoming email to the a custom 'object' (a custom object developed in our project). We are not able to add this object in the OOTB panel for linking manually an email to an object (please refer to below image).

Let us know if it's feasible

Best Regards

Stefano

The custom section needs to have support for Activities. This basically means that it has a lookup on the Activity object and is added to the EntityConnection table. I believe the Section Wizard and also adding Freedom UI sections does this now for new sections. For older objects (or objects not exposed as sections) you can follow the steps here: https://customerfx.com/article/how-to-add-activities-to-a-custom-section-in-creatio/

Hi,

It seems that Creatio Marketing email size is limited to 5mb.

Is there a way to change the acceptable limit size in the system parameters, or is this limit set by the ESPs (ElasticEmail or Sendgrid) ?

Cheers,

Damien

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround with the 5MB limit, since it is a restriction from the ESPs side.

It is a general recommendation to optimize size of your bulk email attachments.

Hi,

we asked the ESP ElasticEmail, according to them, our limit is at 10mb.

Is there a technical reason why in Creatio it is 5mb ?

Cheers,

Damien

Damien Collot,

Thank you for the information. We will pass it on to our R&D team.

Hi,

has the limit been increased with the new email marketing app & designer ?

Thanks,

Damien

Bogdan,

Hi Bogdan, do you know if the 5mb limit has been increased with the release of Creatio 8.2.1 new email marketing app ?

In theory, Elastic Email authorizes up to 10mb and Sendgrid up to 30 mb, but Creatio was limiting the mail at 5mb ....

Thanks,

Damien

Hi,

Any news if the email size limit has been increased with the new email designer ?

Thanks,

Damien
