Question

Sending Emails to Alternate Email Type

Hello,

As a part of the contact object I have two different types of email communication options a) Regular OOTB email field and b) newly added 'Communication Option' of type 'email' called "Corporate Email"

How can I specify the system to use the email id in the "Corporate Email" field and not utilize the value in the OOTB email column while sending out bulk emails or when running marketing campaigns?

Hello Vishal,

For campaigns there is indeed one more step to be taken, I am sorry for letting it out. It should also be added to the "Entity settings for campaign signal" lookup:

As it populated - the option will be added to the Campaign:

Please note that this is a Communication option table that includes numerous types of communications and it should strictly be filtered to only required (ie. Business Email).

Best Regards,

Dan

Hello!

This may be achieved by adding another Contact object or Contact Communication to the list:

The list is accessed from Manage Object:

You may either add a new column to the Contact object or to use it from Contact Communication options directly.

Best Regards,

Dan

Denis Bidukha,

Thank you, but this wouldn't work for marketing campaigns would it, since you have to use trigger emails for it and there is no way you can specify anything other than the primary email.
