My requirement is to trigger a notification to the owner of the contact when the age of the contact is going to be be X years in coming 7 days.
Suggestions appreciated.

Dear Shailey,
You can change the time for all system notifications about noteworthy events to any value you need.
There is the system setting called "Noteworthy event notification period, days" where you can change the default value for period to send a notification before the indicated date.
