When qualifying the lead, the Account and Contact are created. However, the lead is not deleted.

When you qualify the lead a new account and/or contact will be added in the system, and the status of the lead will be changed to “Qualified as New”. It won’t be deleted as we consider that lead information can still be necessary in future. For example, if you get leads databases from your partners, at the end of the month or other period, you will be able to analyze the quality of received database and plan your future cooperation.

In case if we need them to be deleted, is that possible somehow?

Yes, you can modify existing process of lead qualification and set them to be deleted after this Action is performed.

What is the difference between leads and opportunity?

In our company we consider Lead as a person or company that have some interest in your products. Opportunity is a chance to sell something to the Lead (Account, Contact).

Kate, in modifying the lead to be deleted, can you set this on a timer? For example, can the process be modified to delete the lead 30 days after it has been converted?

Also, what is the process for the lead conversion called in the process designer?
