Checking same Email id in lead section

Hi team,

After Adding a new leads in lead section if you click on qualify button if the same email id is there for two leads means it have to show one Alert popup like (email has been already exist)  is there any way to show this popup.

Can anyone help on this issue.

Dear Nani,

There is no duplicate search in the Leads section similar as in Accounts or Contacts section. This is a basic logic of the system. The reason for it is that a lead describes a customer's needs that might differ within some different periods of time. However, the duplicate search in the Leads section is performed automatically if to compare with that in the Accounts or Contacts section. The results of it are recorded on a lead page on the Similar leads detail http://prntscr.com/mbhgka  Here is the article on how to set up the duplicate search rules in the Leads section:

As for alert or pop-up that would notify you about similar lead, unfortunately, there is no such functionality. However we have already registered similar idea for our R&D team to develop such functionality in the future versions of the application.
