Charts and Reports

Initially, the Home Page was designed specifically to display list of Sections, links to Settings and User’s Profile. However, you can set Dashboards Section to be opened first when you log in.

Can charts be displayed at the record level? For example, in the Accounts section? For example, a pie chart displayed on the Account record.

The charts are displayed on the specific Tab of the Section called 'Analytics'. If you need any information displayed in the Accounts list, that needs to be taken from the connected objects (Opportunities in this case) you can simply use Columns Setup for it to be shown.

For Charts, can Rows & Columns type reports be created? Like an Excel-type table output?

You can export data from any Section into Excel spreadsheet, so basically you will get the necessary table with the columns in order they were set up in the Columns Setup.

Can data from separate tables be included together? For example, List of Contacts, with associated Account?

Again, in this case the Data Export will fully meet your needs. First you will have to set up the list of Contacts with all the columns from the Connected objects (in this case Accounts) and then export the data.

How do you set the Dashboards Section to be opened first when you log in? That is interesting. Also, where can you edit the analytics for the Dashboards Section and are the external widgets still available/possible?
