Add a system generated field that shows last update date and person

Hi,

I want to add a system generated field to the opportunity section that shows who last updated the opportunity and when.

I have researched for this but couldn't find anything.

Can you please help me and let me know how to do it?

Is there a problem with using the out of the box "Modified on" (ModifiedOn) and "Modified by" (ModifiedBy) fields?

As Harvey mentioned, it sound like what you're after is the Modified On and Modified By columns. Simply add those to your page (and I would make them read-only as well since they're system populated)
