Account setup up for large contractors

Single account vs Headoffice with subaccounts

I'm looking for some best practice advise for a BPM'online sales enterprise implemenation for a company who manages leads and opportunities though  major contract partners (Australian based).

The question  is whether to create a separate account for each contractor by state (VIC, NSW etc) and link these together to the assigned Head office account.

- what will be the impact for reporting and analytics

- interface to a future Xero accounting

- duplication rules

-  address management

Any suggestions, based on your experience in this type of scenario?

We are considering the impact of the license fees for Marketing, based on the fact each account wil be duplicated in the system.

Thanks

Dear Adrienne,

If the partner of yours has different offices, it's better to reflect it in the 'Organizational Structure' on the account page. Here's the information you may put there in the base version of the system:

As for the possible impact on the analytics and reports, describing the structure of the company shouldn't have any. Though, it really depends on the settings you choose when adding the new report / analytics.

All the integrations with the external applications will not be affected by the account structure as well. Though the changes made to the accounts in bpm'online should be taken into consideration by the developer who configures the integration in the first place.

Duplication search is based on the duplication rules that you may turn on/off according to your needs. Meaning, you'll be able to find the rules that would allow the system not to consider two accounts with the same let’s say address duplicates.

As for the address management, you'll be able to store as many different addresses in the account, as you need.

As a conclusion I may say that the impact depends  on the realization of the specific user and the system's performance shouldn't be affected.

I have also addressed your questions to our Australian rep - Annerine. She'll contact you and will share some scenarios typical for the Australian business.

Best regards,

Lisa

Thanks Lisa,

I didn't think of using the account structure in this way. I will discuss this with my client, based on your feedback.

Regards

Adrienne
