"To be" process for a workflow solution deployment

Dear all, can someone advise me here. I am working on a process automation project that will involve deploying a workflow application to automate some user tasks. I have done the "As-Is" process successfully. However, in doing the "To-Be", I am at a loss on which will be the actor in the swimlane between the proposed new workflow solution and the officer who operates it to conduct his tasks. Which will be the actor in the swimlane between the new solution and the officer who operates it to conduct his tasks? Or how do i depict this in a BPMN?

According to BPMN:

1. A Participant is often responsible for the execution of the Process enclosed in a Pool.

2. Lanes are used to organize and categorize Activities within a Pool. The meaning of the Lanes is up to the modeler. BPMN does not specify the usage of Lanes. Lanes are often used for such things as internal roles (e.g., Manager, Associate), systems (e.g., an enterprise application), an internal department (e.g., shipping, finance), etc.

So, the choice is up to you :) As for me, if the officer still takes part in the "To-Be" process, he should have the lane. If not, new solution only.
