Trouble deleting object

I am trying to remove a custom field from the accounts page in our CRM.  I deleted the container from the page designer, but it will not allow me to delete the object from the object designer (the 'delete' button is grayed out).  The object (a drop-down list) is still showing up on the card.  Also, before deleting it I tried selecting the 'hidden' option, and it still showed on the card.  Any advice?  I have full permissions so I should be able to delete what ever I want (I think).

Hello Robert,

Ideally I would like to have a remote session to look at it. But from what I read I can say that:

1. Try to delete the control itself, not the container.

2. You can leave the object as it is, make all the changes on the page.

3. Make sure you publish the page, not just save it.

4. Try to clear the profile.

Thank you for the response.  When I try publishing the page I get an error.  My initial goal here was to get the "legal entity" dropdown off of the account card.  The error appears to be related to me deleting that control.  I've attached a screenshot of the error message.  Any advice?

Also, If I clear all of the profile data for my user by selecting 'clear all' (through the configuration/profile section), will it revert any changes made by users other than me?  Added accounts for instance?  The only changes that I have made have been my futile attempts to change the configuration, so I wouldn't mind if I undid them.  However, if I delete any of the data in here I am going to have some people upset at me.

We have registered support ticket in order to help you remotely with the error you've faced. My colleague will contact you today.

As for the profile clearing, this action will not revert the changes done in the system by any user, as well a will not delete any data from the system except the profile data. Profile data includes statuses of page areas (expanded or collapsed), separator positions,amount and order of columns in the list, etc.

I am going to try clearing the profile to see if that helps at all.  I will coordinate with your colleague about the ticket.  I appreciate the help :-)
