Question

Schema access control

Hi Team,

How can we control the schema access done in production environment. Can we provide any restriction, such that supervisor should not be able to add fields in Page or Object.

Or please let us know if there is any functionality to control production environment from schema changes.

Thanks ,

Hello!

By default, the Supervisor user has all the required operation permissions to apply changes to the website's configuration. This user is being considered as a system user and it strongly does not recommend removing his permissions since the system has a lot of backend processes that being executed under this specific user. You can take a look at the Change the “system” user (Supervisor) Academy article to obtain more detailed information on this matter.

You can create a separate system administrator user and grand this user with the required operation permission according to the System operation permissions Academy article.

There is also an option to lock schemas or packages on the DB level, but it also has an impact on the system itself and could block further configuration processes.

Best regards,

Olga.
