Hello, I am trying to find how to restrict access to specific sections for workspaces or sections for groups of users. I know about the functionality to add users to add users to roles. But I can't find how to actually set what these roles can and can't access.

Dear Nick,
You can finds that in Access rights in System designer -> Advanced settings (http://prntscr.com/mzocag). Also you can set up the access rights for the record if you click Actions -> set up access rights. Here is the academy page on that:
