Hello, I am not able to remove records from the lookup "List of objects available for portal users".
As you can see in the video, I get this error. Can someone advise what needs to be done to remove an object from this lookup?

Dear Mitch,
The Configuration Item object is initial and other object present on portal are depending on it. This is basic logic and removal of Configuration Item will lead to other functionality failure due to portal users not having access to the object.
We highly do not recommend to remove basic objects from portal section.

Our concern is we don't want portal users to see all of our configuration items, and if they have access to it they can open a filter in the list view of the portal cases section and see all of our config items. How can we restrict this? would we restrict this in objects permissions?

In this case the easiest and quick approach would be to set up access rights for the Configuration Items object. Define the range of roles or users, who would be able to read/edit/delete. Please see the following article on setting up access rights:
