Not able to place Order via Field Sales

Hello,

 

I am trying to place an order via Field Sales. We have few mandatory fields in Web app and I have configured them in the mobile Wizard as well in Activities section.

These fields show up in the mobile app but are ineditable.

Hence, when I am try to add the Products, I get a message to fill in the mandatory fields.

Please let me know how to proceed.

Hi Madhuri!

 

Unfortunately, fields from connected objects cannot be edited in the mobile app. We recommend opening the connected object itself(Order) and changing these fields there.

 

We already have a task registered for our R&D to implement such functionality in future updates. I have linked your request to it to increase its priority.

How about making a field not mandatory on mobile?

We have written a Business Rule code for mobile to make a field not mandatory but still, those fields are considered mandatory. Additionally, those fields are mandatory in the web app.



Is it possible to make fields in the mobile app not mandatory which are mandatory in WEB-APP?

If the field is not mandatory on the object level (the "Required" field is set to "No" in the object's settings in configuration), you can configure it to be required on the web (in Section Wizard), and it will be non-required in the mobile app!
