There are some otb details that allow you to connect an existing record OR create a new one. Other details ONLY allow you to create a new record. Can someone advise how I can edit an existing detail that only allows the user to create a new record to be able to instead connect an existing record?
For example, my goal is to make the Cases and Changes details like the Knowledge Base detail. If you click the "+" sign by the Knowledge Base detail (see 1 below), you are given the option to find an existing article and connect it (3 below) or create a new record (2 below).

Other details take you directly to the new record form when you click the "+" sign. What controls this?
