How Can I modify case creation from an Email

Hi,

There is an OOB functionality in cases where you can select a text from the incoming mail and can create a new case from it.

How can I modify that functionality a bit? Can anyone provide the method name or in which package it is implemented.

Case registration by email requires email integration.

Please follow this article from "Automatic registration of cases based on incoming emails" . Set up at least one support mailbox and junk email processing rules :

Also, please check out the business process named "Incoming email registration process" , which involved in registering cases from incoming emails.

Hi Bogdan,

 

Thanks for reply. I am not looking for automatic creation of case from emails. But, There is a feature when we select a text in 'processing' tab of case. It will redirect new case record page autopopulating subject, Description and others. I am looking for that process.

There is no such examples found.

 

You can create your own business-process with such logic. 

 

Retrieve data you need and pass it to a new case to fill the required fields.
