Button sometimes shows up

Hello,

Sometimes a button I add to a section shows up and sometimes I need to go to the section page and then back to the edit page.When I directly open a edit page without going through the section page, the button does not show up. In order for it to show up I need to go to the section page and then go back to that edit page.

I remember seeing an article a while back that I need to add the button to two places, but I have not been able to find this post.

Any help appreciated.
