Cause

A problem in IIS settings.

Solution

Go to the IIS settings - Handler Mappings module

Find the rules for files with * .asmx extension with the following names:

"WebServiceHandlerFactory-Integrated"

"WebServiceHandlerFactory-ISAPI-2.0_32bit"

"WebServiceHandlerFactory-ISAPI-2.0_64bit"

and delete all of them.
