The application use it to store all of the data that it needs to create in runtime: temporary javascript files, the last SVN revision, .PDB files and so forth.

Hey there David,
This setting is responsible for where the system should store its temporary files. You should be fine by just stating the path to the folder you don't mind flooding.
Unfortunately, I am unable to state what exactly your path should look like.
